This morning, I checked my blog's overall stats. I knew that I was close to 1,000 comments, but I didn't know I how close. As it turns out, at 6:30 AM (Pacific), Valeria Maltoni made this blog's comment odometer (commentometer?) turn over to four digits just three minutes after Cam Beck logged in with comment #999.
Thanks to all of you who have stopped by during the past nine months to share your ideas, views, displeasure, good humor, stories, and anecdotes. I sincerely appreciate it! Please continue to stop by.
To honor her good timing (and prodigous commenting), I — for the very first time — am turning this blog over to Valeria Maltoni for a guest post on the Fourth of July. I hope you'll check in.
And of course, I will always be telling the truth. Thank you, Roger. I made up for the Cam Beck thing by linking to not one, but two of his posts tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Valeria - Great tag team! :)
Roger - Congrats! That you were able to accomplish this feat in so little time is a testament to how adept you are at getting people to think. Great job!

Congrats, Roger. Cam missed by THIS much. Looking forward to the Conversation Agent action over the next day or so!

Thanks for the good wishes. You might also say that Cam missed by THIS much from having to do another post on the 4th of July!
